Live rural and idyllic at Bogstad

Topcamp Bogstad is located perfectly in rural and - according to the season - lush surroundings. Swimming spots, jogging trails, farm visits, ski slopes, and Nordmarka are just some of the things that are right outside the door. There are nice short-distance experiences in Sørkedalen, such as a bike ride to Sørkedalen Landhandel. And it's a short way to Holmenkollen too, by the way!

The area offers a lot, including the beach, farm visits, animal friends, and great hiking areas. A place where it`s easy to relax and find peace.

Bogstadvannet

Close to Topcamp Bogstad is the beach by Bogstadvannet. An absolutely perfect oasis with piers, grass, and a sandy beach! Bring the grill or your picnic basket, and don't forget your swimwear. If you want to be more active, you can use the nice hiking trail around the water, which starts right outside the campsite. Here you can walk, run or cycle around the water. The whole round is about one mile.

In the winter, there are beautiful ski trails around the water, where you can easily continue into Nordmarka.

Bogstad Farm

The manor at Bogstad Gård was the home of Peder Anker, who helped write the constitution at Eidsvoll. In 1814 he became Norway's first prime minister. There are guided tours of the Manor, and they even have their own guided tour especially suitable for children. In addition, there is a café on the farm, which serves fresh Bogstad rolls and buns, sandwiches, cakes, and drinks. There is seating both inside and outdoors. But perhaps best of all, they have cows, sheep, chickens and rabbits on the farm, which everyone can visit and enjoy the company of! In summer the farm is full of flowers and plants of all colors.

Holmenkollen and Marka

It only takes just over half an hour on foot and around 20 minutes to cycle up to Holmenkollen from the campsite. In Holmenkollen, you can do everything from having a meal at the restaurant, taking the zip line, rappelling down the jumping tower, visit the ski museum, or go for walks in the countryside. Holmenkollen is a great starting point for field trips. Some nice routes are to go to Sognsvann, Vettakollen or Frognerseteren - or Skjennungstua or Ullevålseter.

Another nice experience in the area is a bike ride to Sørkedalen Landhandel, where you can sit outside on the outdoor terrace in the garden during the summer. The store is a good starting point for several trips in Nordmarka, whether it is by foot, by bike, or with skis on your feet.

Otherwise, Topcamp Bogstad is only a 15-minute drive from Oslo city center, where there are a bunch og things to see and doThe restaurants are many, and the outdoor areas are beautiful.
