Cycle the Rallarvegen

The "rally road" between Haugastøl and Myrdal is by far Norway's most popular bike ride in the Norwegian mountain world and an unforgettable experience!

A 45 minute drive can take you to Rallarvegen, which leads to Hardangervidda along the Bergen Railway from Haugastøl via Finse, Hallingskeid, Myrdal and further steep through 21 hairpin turns down to Flåm or Voss. The road alone is an attraction and truly an impressive piece of work. The road was built around the turn of the century in connection with the construction of the Bergen railway, and in itself a landmark. It runs through a spectacular mountain area that goes from 1000 to 1300 metres height, and down to sea level again in Flåm. There are several exciting trails and cycle routes ranging from 27-82 km long. We recommend going in the downwards direction. Norway's most beautiful bike ride!
