Hadeland Glassverk

Visitor center with several activities for both young and old.

The visitor center consists of Glasshytte with up to 25 glassblowers, glass museum, 11 shops, 5 restaurants and 2 art galleries. The visitor center is open every day throughout the year, Monday through Sunday, and has a varied activity program.

In scenic surroundings an hour's drive from Oslo is Hadeland Glassverk, a year-round tourist attraction and trading destination based on history, art, culture and old craft traditions.

The glassworks was founded in 1762 and is Norway's oldest industrial company with continuous operation.
The Glass Museum is the largest in the Nordic region, and shows a cross-section of what Hadeland's glassblowers and designers have created in the last 250 years.

In Glasshytta, both children and adults can blow their own glass. You can choose between eg flower vase, honey pot, Easter eggs, Christmas ball, drinking glasses to take home. The offer varies according to the season. In the summer, the honey pot can be filled with honey in the Honey House.
In the Candle Foundry, children can color their own candles.

Hadeland has 11 stores with everything in glass, porcelain, textiles, cutlery, decorative items and gift items. In the Factory Outlet you can buy glass and porcelain at factory prices, in addition to food and beer from more than 50 Norwegian small-scale producers.

Children can frolic on two outdoor playgrounds, during the summer holidays there is the Children's farm with animals and horse riding.
In Randsfjorden near Glassverket there is a sandy beach and shallow bathing water.

The facility has four restaurants: Kokkestua, Bakeriet, Mester Pizzeria, Norgesglasshuset and Vaffelhuset.
Seating outside when the weather allows it.
