1. Let the adrenaline pump in Bjelland

In Bjelland, approximately 40 minutes from Mandal, you can truly get your heart racing. Adventure Norway offers various exciting activities. Climb Via Ferrata, raft in the Mandalselva river, rent a kayak and take kayak courses, engage in a round of paintball with friends, and try rappelling down a cliff. They even offer moose safaris!

Make sure you don't miss Uranienborg when you're in Mandal. The hike up is not long, taking around ten minutes.

From the city center, near the SMOI restaurant, you ascend a staircase and continue up a hill until you reach the small summit and the viewpoint, Uranienborg. It's a beautiful observation gazebo with a view overlooking the entire Mandal, Furulunden, and the archipelago.

During the era of sailing ships, this lookout point was where wives and children climbed to spot their husbands and fathers when the ships returned to Mannefjorden.

Today, it operates as a summer café, art gallery, and event venue. They also host concerts and exhibitions. The property features a large English garden with a picturesque greenhouse and an impressive collection of shrubs and trees.
