Purchase terms
These purchase terms apply to bookings of accommodation with Topcamp, unless otherwise agreed or stated in the booking.
The agreement is entered into with:
Topcamp AS
Org. no. 993 466 344
Ankerveien 117
0766 Oslo
Norway
Email: hei@topcamp.no
Phone: +47 22 55 28 00
Topcamp AS is responsible for the booking and for providing the stay.
If you book through an external booking channel, additional terms and conditions from that booking channel may apply. Separate agreed terms may also apply to group bookings, corporate agreements and long-term stays.
These purchase terms do not limit any rights you may have under mandatory Norwegian law.
General terms
The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 may stay at our destinations when travelling with a parent or legal guardian, unless otherwise agreed with Topcamp.
Accommodation at our destinations is intended for temporary stays and may not be used as a permanent residence.
Guests must comply with the destination’s rules and any instructions given by our employees.
If the conditions for the stay are not met, Topcamp may refuse or terminate the stay. Any entitlement to a refund will be assessed based on the reason for the refusal or termination, the selected rate option and applicable law.
When is the booking binding?
The booking becomes binding once it has been confirmed by Topcamp.
The selected rate option, dates, accommodation type, number of guests and any additional services stated in the booking confirmation form part of the agreement.
You are responsible for checking the booking confirmation and contacting us as soon as possible if any information does not correspond with what you booked.
PRICE AND PAYMENT
Price and booking fee
The price of the stay and any additional services will be shown before the booking is confirmed.
A booking fee applies to manual bookings unless otherwise stated or agreed.
Payment
The available payment methods are displayed when you complete your booking.
Topcamp offers payment by:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Klarna
The available payment options may vary depending on the booking and payment method.
Klarna
When paying with Klarna, you may select from the payment options Klarna makes available for the relevant booking, including instalment payments where available.
Credit assessments, invoicing, payment follow-up and any applicable interest or fees are handled by Klarna and are subject to Klarna’s current terms and conditions.
Non-payment
Payment must be made in accordance with the payment terms shown during the booking process and in the booking confirmation.
If a payment that is to be made directly to Topcamp has not been received by the agreed payment deadline, Topcamp may cancel the booking after giving notice.
When payment is made through Klarna, the guest’s payment obligations towards Klarna are governed by Klarna’s own terms and conditions.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
The arrival and departure times depend on the type of accommodation you have booked. If different times apply to your booking, this will be stated in the booking confirmation or in information provided by the destination.
Cabins and apartments
Cabins and apartments are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival until 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
Camping pitches
Camping pitches are available from 1:00 PM on the day of arrival until 12:00 PM on the day of departure.
The pitch must be left tidy and in the same condition as upon arrival.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
There is no ordinary statutory right of withdrawal for accommodation booked for a specific date or period.
Your ability to change or cancel your stay therefore depends on the rate option selected at the time of booking.
Flex
Flex is our most flexible rate option.
With Flex, you may change or cancel your booking until 3:00 PM on the day before arrival.
A fee of NOK 130 applies per change or cancellation.
If you rebook to a more expensive period or a different accommodation type, any price difference must be paid.
Cancellations must be made directly to the destination by email, unless another cancellation method is specified for the booking. You will receive confirmation once the cancellation has been registered.
Best
Best is our lowest-priced rate option and is suitable when you are certain of your travel dates.
The booking cannot be changed or cancelled once it has been confirmed. If you do not use the stay, the amount paid will not be refunded.
This does not limit your rights if Topcamp fails to provide the stay in accordance with the agreement.
If you end your stay early
If you choose to end your stay after the rental period has started, you will normally not be entitled to a refund for the unused part of the stay.
This does not apply if the stay is ended due to circumstances for which Topcamp is responsible and you are entitled under applicable rules to a price reduction, refund or other compensation.
DURING YOUR STAY
If something is wrong with your stay
If the accommodation or services you have booked do not correspond with the agreement, you must contact the destination as soon as possible.
This gives us the opportunity to investigate the matter and attempt to correct the issue while you are still at the destination.
If an issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, or if we are unable to offer a suitable alternative, you may, depending on the circumstances, be entitled to a price reduction, refund or to terminate the remaining part of your stay.
Your responsibilities as a guest
You are responsible for the accommodation or camping pitch during your stay and must treat the area, furnishings and equipment with appropriate care.
You are also responsible for ensuring that everyone included in the booking complies with these purchase terms, the destination’s rules and instructions from Topcamp employees.
You are financially responsible for damage caused by you or members of your travelling party to Topcamp’s property, beyond normal wear and tear.
The number of people staying in the cabin, apartment or on the camping pitch may not exceed the number included in the booking, unless otherwise agreed with Topcamp.
Keys, access cards and other borrowed equipment must be returned in accordance with the applicable procedures upon departure. In the event of loss or failure to return such items, you may be charged the documented cost of replacement or, where necessary, replacing the lock.
Although standard final cleaning is included for cabins and apartments, the accommodation must be left tidy. If extraordinary cleaning beyond normal final cleaning is required, Topcamp may charge for the additional cleaning.
Breach of terms and site rules
Topcamp may terminate a stay if you or anyone in your travelling party materially breaches these purchase terms or the destination’s rules.
This may include situations where you or someone in your travelling party:
- behaves in a seriously or repeatedly disruptive manner towards other guests or employees
- commits vandalism or causes damage to Topcamp property
- uses the accommodation or camping pitch for a purpose other than the agreed purpose
- commits unlawful acts at the destination
- fails to comply with necessary safety rules or instructions from Topcamp employees
Where circumstances allow, the guest will normally be given an opportunity to correct the situation before the stay is terminated.
In serious cases, Topcamp may terminate the stay with immediate effect.
If the stay is terminated due to a material breach of the agreement by the guest, the guest will normally not be entitled to a refund for the remaining part of the stay. Topcamp may also claim compensation for documented damage or losses for which the guest is responsible.
LEGAL MATTERS AND PRIVACY
Force majeure and extraordinary events
Topcamp is not responsible for failure or delay in fulfilling the agreement where this is caused by extraordinary circumstances beyond our reasonable control which we could not reasonably have foreseen or avoided the consequences of.
This may include war, serious natural events, flooding, fire, major interruptions to water or energy supplies, labour disputes, government orders or other comparable events.
If such an event prevents Topcamp from providing the booked stay, we will inform you as soon as possible and attempt to find an alternative solution. Any entitlement to a refund or other claims will be assessed in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.
Processing of Personal Data
Topcamp AS processes personal data in connection with bookings, payments, stays and the use of our services.
Information about which personal data we process, why we process it, how long it is retained and the rights you have can be found in our privacy policy.
Topcamp's Privacy Policy.
Complaints and disputes
If you experience any faults or deficiencies during your stay, please contact the destination as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and, where possible, resolve the issue.
If the matter is not resolved during your stay, you may submit a written complaint to the destination or to hei@topcamp.no.
If we are unable to reach an agreement, you may as a consumer refer the matter to the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for mediation.
More information is available on the Norwegian Consumer Authority’s website.
Changes to the purchase terms
For each individual booking, the purchase terms and rate conditions that applied when the booking was confirmed will apply, unless subsequent changes are more favourable to the guest or are required by mandatory law.
