Camping takes place in close contact with nature, so it is only natural that Topcamp works in harmony with nature, with ambitions for sustainability and environmental friendliness. All our destinations are certified through Green Key, an international environmental certification for accommodation establishments. As a guest at a Topcamp destination, you can be sure that we have gone to great lengths to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, while working continuously to minimize environmental impact.

Green Key certified businesses meet strict environmental requirements in the following 14 areas: environmental management, staff involvement, guest information, water, washing and cleaning, waste, energy, food, indoor climate, outdoor area, social responsibility, environmental activities, administration, and conference.

Our purpose with environmental certification is to promote sustainable tourism and contribute to preventing climate change. Green Key aims to change practices and behavior among tourism operators, including guests, businesses, authorities, and local communities, in a sustainable direction. This is achieved by increasing awareness among both employees and guests, promoting sustainable routines and the use of technology, supporting environmentally friendly and responsible businesses, reducing energy and resource consumption.

Green Key is one of the largest global environmental certification schemes for accommodation establishments, with over 2,700 certified businesses in 56 countries. The scheme is the only environmental certification for accommodation establishments in Norway to have achieved the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Recognized award.
